Rick has been licensed in property, casualty, life, and health since April 2008. He started as a captive insurance agent but felt he could not bring the proper value to his clients. He became an independent agent a little over a year later in June 2009.

He is a lifelong resident of Avon. He went to Avon High School. He holds a master of divinity and a bachelor’s in biblical studies. He was an IHSAA basketball official for 17 years.

The reason Rick became an agent was to connect on a deeper level in the community. Insurance is something that everyone needs but does not understand. It is his privilege to educate everyone on coverage, what determines the premiums, and how to control those factors effectively.

He really loves to create furniture and other wood products to use in his home remodel projects during his free time. If Rick is not at his office, you can find him in his workshop creating more things to use in his home. It brings him great satisfaction! He is a published author of a Christian devotional book, A Common Devotional from a Common Man. In addition, he has recently begun work on a new novel which he hopes to complete soon.
